I took this trip when I was living in New Orleans. The trip was with the Canoe and Trail Shop, an outfitter located on Bayou St. John. There were about 10 of us, and we hauled our canoes and equipment in a truck and a trailer all the way to southern Texas, just east of Big Bend National Park. There may have been a second vehicle; this was 25 years ago and I am relying on memory. It was a six-day trip, during Thanksgiving week. My photos were taken with an Instamatic.
